With 24p Progressive Recording Mode, the HDR-AX2000's high-quality film-like motion lets you realize brilliant scene reproduction. CinemaTone GammaTM and CinemaTone ColorTM provide the HDR-AX2000 with the color and gamma range to give your footage an even more film-like feel. For the receiver I use a Sony HWSBTA2W - Bluetooth wireless transmitter/receiver which operates very good. It was fairly easy to connect to the Sony HWSBTA2W though the instructions on it were a little ambiguous to me. As you don't hold the bluetooth connect and power button at the same time to get it in paring mode. You just hold the bluetooth pairing button for about 7 seconds (on the receiver, HWSBTA2W) until the lights start flashing for the connection process. Then hold the button on the iPod bluetooth unit while holding it close to the receiver and your good to go. (Make sure you iPod is on). Sound quality is very good with these two set up is Excellent. I use a 30GB 5th or 5.5 generation Video iPod. They don't seem to be pinpointed to any particular type of location and it makes listening to music less than pleasant. On top of that, just 40 days after purchase, the unit just stopped working. When pushing the button, I get no power. I get nothing. I'm in the process now of getting it replaced via warranty with Sony, but that's still not going to solve the intermittent problem. I have experimented with a few of the setting Sony provides..there is also a Night setting that tones down the bass and sound so what i am listing to will not disturb others. There is not a separate bass adjustment..but after listening to the quality produced while watching a variety of movies i feel an adjustment is not needed..the bass is full when needed and not overpowering. I am amazed how the verity of sounds can be divide up between the 5 speakers and the bass speaker and how it fills the room. I still am tricked hearing a sound from behind me just to realize it was from the speakers.. I am very happy with my Sony dav.dz100. The unit i purchased was refurbished ...but other that it saying it was refurbished on the box..i would of never know.. Just the right amount of power for my use . Between us (my wife and I) and the kids, this thing is always running. I watch DVDs in the day before I go to work in the afternoon, and then the kids watch DVDs in the evening when their Mom comes home. We've never had an issue, but it was something I worried about at first since this is an inexpensive unit. The sound quality is nice, and is perfect for our apartment. It gets loud, and has more than enough power for what we need. Overall, this is an excellent system, but you may want to look for the newest model by Sony since this is no longer available (unless you buy used).
