I was looking at bookshelf and portable systems, and wanted something that could play mp3, wma & aac music from disc and/or thumbdrive. The reason I went with this system was the amount of power and the separate subwoofer. I don't play DJ with it, and nobody in the shop has an Ipod, so I can't comment on that functionality, but the rest of the system is awesome! You can play regular audio cd's, mp3 discs, plug in a usb drive, or use the AM/FM radio (we've hardly ever done that.) There are controls for low, medium and high range, and this thing pumps some bass! (We got yelled at by the suits to turn it down lol) The guys in the shop like hard rock, metal and blues, and everybody really likes the system.
